Unknown to many,  two of Nigeria’s great and Ex-Super Eagles skippers, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo are not having the best of relationship but often try to keep it away from the media. The sour relationship between them started many years ago after the midfield maestro quit international football. Kanu who at that time won the FA Cup with Portsmouth FC was selected alongside Austin Okocha to decide who got the ambassadorial honour for Fidelity Bank Plc. Due to the influence of Kanu among some South East governors, the former Arsenal striker won it and this did not go down well with Jay jay. The two, according to a very close source, have often avoided each other any time event brings them together. The source disclosed that, supremacy of sort thus exists between them and it is of note that either of them ever invited another for any personal event in the past.

Nelson Mandela marks 1 month in the hospital for lung infection

Image
Nelson Mandela has now spent a month in the hospital . South Africa’s anti-apartheid hero was admitted June 8 for a recurring lung infection . A month later the former president has seen an outpouring of love and support from South Africa and around the world. South Africa’s City Press newspaper reported Sunday that since his admittance to a Pretoria hospital Graca Machel, Mandela’s wife, has not left her husband’s side for more than three hours. Mandela spent 27 years in prison during white rule. He led the tense shift from apartheid to democracy two decades ago in a spirit of reconciliation. A Mandela grandson was removed from his post of tribal chief on Saturday following a family feud started because the grandson moved the buried bodies of three of Mandela’s children.

You won’t lose that weight if you don’t do these 10 things

Image
Don’t diet. When you go hungry your body stores nutrients and turns them into fat instead of absorbing them. If you are trying to lose weight as so many others are, there are 10 rules to live by if you want to be able to lose it and keep it off. 1. Keep a food journal . Record everything that you eat through the day so that you can see what you are putting into your body. The more you see the food that you have been eating and how much, you are more likely to make healthier choices. 2. Drink a lot of water. Water flushes the toxins from our body, helps to lubricate and cushion our organs, and regulates our body temperature. 3. Plan your meals ahead of time. If you plan out what and when you are going to eat, you are less likely to settle for whatever is convenient and possibly unhealth at the time because you are so hungry. You can save money this way too because food won’t go to waste while waiting to be cooked. 4. Watch the sizes of your portions. a. Oils, fats

“God told me not to celebrate my 50th birthday’ – TB Joshua explains why he didn’t celebrate

Image
The founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations turned 50 on June 12th and shunned all forms of celebration put together by his church members, choosing instead to celebrate by communicating with God at the ‘mountains’. He explains why: “There was a divine message to me to shun all activities on my 50th. I don’t act if I don’t get the call. There’s a need to keep one’s life in prayer. What I need now is more commitment and time with God and not celebrating. I will only celebrate when I’m 60. That is when I will forget about 50. Even the little activity put together by my church members, they know they were not celebrating Mr T.B Joshua rather Prophet T.B Joshua and it is their divine duty to do so.
