FC Ifeanyi Ubah's Brazilian coach Rafael Everton had boasted that his team are going to win the Nigerian league after his team climbed up to third spot on the league table after pipping league leaders Wikki Tourists over the weekend. Wikki Tourists are top of the table with 53 points followed by Rivers United on 53 points then Ifeanyi Ubah follows closely with 52 points on third place and Rafael believes his charges can do the Nnewi based club proud by winning the league. Due to heavy downpour of rain over the weekend in Lagos, some areas of the state were affected. Several Streets in Oworoshoki, Ifako, Ikorodudu, Lekki axis were seriously affected and properties/items worth millions of naira were also damaged, but no life was loss or collapse of any building. According to the General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, the flood was also exerbitated by blockages of some of the major drainage systems in the affected areas. The Rivers State Police Command in its sustained efforts to rid the state of all manner of crime and criminality today recorded yet another significant breakthrough in crime fighting. This was practically demonstrated when last night about 8.40pm, there was a distress call about an Armed Robbery attack at Ihuike axis of the East/West Road in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State. In a swift response, the Ahoada Division led by the DPO immediately mobilized to the scene and the armed robbers on sighting the Police Patrol Van, opened fire on the Police. While an 18 Seater Bus heading from Benin to Port Harcourt was under attack, the driver lost control and the car somersaulted, while 3 persons were feared dead. The rest passengers were rescued. In the ensuing gun battle, the police over powered the armed robbers, six of the armed robbers were fatally wounded and died on their way to the hospital. She obtained her National Certificate of Education (NCE) in 2014 in Science with Mathematics as her major course. As the best student in her class she got automatic employment to teach at the school she attended in Iyatawa community, Rimi Local Government of Katsina State. Joachim Chinakwe, the man who named his dog Buhari, failed to meet bail conditions after he was arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Ogun state. Joachim who is a trader, was said to have behaved himself in a manner that could cause breach of peace by naming his dog Buhari and parading same at the Hausa section of Ketere market in Sango area. Hence his arrest by the police. He has now been remanded at the Ibara Prison. Unbelievable!
