‘It hurts me to see him cry’: Cristiano Ronaldo laments Leo Messi’s retirement from Argentina

Cristiano Ronaldo has offered Leo Messi a shoulder to cry on, and has expressed his wish to see the Barcelona man back in an Argentina shirt some time in the near future.

Messi shockingly announced his retirement from International football after missing a penalty in the shoot out loss to Chile in the Copa America. His rival Ronaldo says Messi needs to be back in the Argentina shirt’
 

‘Messi has taken a decision and people have to understand him. He’s not used to defeats and disappointments, or even finishing second.' Ronaldo said to Mundo Deportivo.

'Missing a penalty doesn’t make you a bad player. It hurts me to see Messi crying and I hope he comes back to the national team.’
